St. Peter’s Rosedale Staff

Parish Secretary: Mrs. Henrietta Kerr

It has been a joy to be a member of St. Peter?s. Here at St. Peter?s there is a warmth one feels as one enters the Church and among its members.? Since my membership here (which goes back to 1989), the ministries I am a part of are: Choir, Stewardship Committee, Daughters of St. Peter’s, and Pastoral Care Committee. I am also a former Vestry member.

Being the Parish Secretary has been to me a ministry. The major responsibility of this position is making certain the bulletins are ready for Sunday and Principal Feast Days. ?It also gives me the opportunity to help whenever and wherever help is needed to make certain the parish runs efficiently.

Treasurer: Mr. Richard Connell, Sr.

Richard Connell

I moved to Rosedale in 1986 and although raised as a Roman Catholic, I started attending St Peter’s Episcopal Church with my father-in-law in 1999 and joined the Vestry in 2004.

The warmth and friendliness of the members of the parish has been the major attraction for making St Peter’s my home.? It is therefore a labor of love for me to serve the Lord by contributing talents developed during my 40 years of accounting and auditing career.

Organist: Eiichi Shamada

Mr. Eiichi Shimada served as an organist at St. Matthew?s Episcopal Church in Queens, NY for 14 years. In the summer of 2011, Fr. James B. Manning invited him to continue serving at St. Peter?s Episcopal Church in Rosedale, NY.

A native of Yokohama, Japan, Mr. Shimada was trained in Tokyo, Vienna and New York. As a recitalist, chamber musician and soloist with orchestras, he has performed at the Aspen Music Festival, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Donnell Library Center Auditorium in NYC, Mendigorria International Music Festival in Spain, as well as numerous concerts in Austria and Japan.

In September 2013, he became the official organist and choir director at St. Peter?s Episcopal Church in Rosedale, NY.

I am an employee at New York Presbyterian Hospital as a patient care representative for the past 16 years.

I feel honored and blessed to be a part for the St. Peter?s community.
